Inti
Punku, the Gate of the Sun, is the doorway to Machu Picchu for the hikers
who come to the site from the fabled Inca Trail. At dawn, the sun rises and
bathes the ruins with light.

the shape of the doorway perfectly frames the mountain behind it. The Incas
were great lovers of nature, particularly mountains, stone and water.
